How are RESCs funded? | |
RESCs, like school districts, are public education agencies. We receive limited state funding under CGS 10-66, but it is an important piece of financial support. Despite their public and not-for-profit status, RESCs do not generate funds through taxation. Each center depends on revenues from delivery of services to districts or competition for public dollars and/or grant funds. We encourage the Connecticut General Assembly to provide incentives for school districts and other public agencies to participate in RESCs’ cost effective, collaborative initiatives. |
